Shushilan

Shushilan started this activity in 1994 with the roadside tree plantation by the saplings produced in its own nursery. In 1997, it planted 15 Kms. roadside with the support of World Food Program, 19 Kms. roadside in 2001, 15 Kms. from 2002 to 2005 with the support of Concern Bangladesh. Up to 2005 Shushilan has planted around 60,000 saplings in 60 Kms. roadside. Presently it has been implementing plantation program through Club/CBOs and Ward Committees. In 2005 Shushilan with the support of Concern Bangladesh planted 24,215 saplings in 17 Kms. roadside of which around 97% saplings are alive.
