Homestead Gardening

Vegetable gardening is beneficial for both income and nutrition, but poor people of the area do not have open land for it. People, who have homestead land, can grow vegetable surrounding of the house round the year if cultivated in a planned manner. Activities have been undertaken for supplying seed in addition with training on low cost compost fertilizer preparation from kitchen garbage and soil health maintenance. A total of 928 farmers have been involved in homestead gardening.
