Shushilan

Self governed village system was in effect during the Mughal regime where all necessary things, except some one or two items were produced inside villages and the villages were ruled by a leader called Morol. Almost all conflicts were mitigated impartially.

A network has been developed with NGOs working in the southwestern region. The main purpose of this initiative is to perform advocacy on social and environmental issues of the area including sharing of experience and assessment combined programmes. Meetings of the network have been arranged quarterly. At present 34 NGOs working in three coastal districts have been included in this network.

Clubs/CBOs are established through initiatives of local people. Sports, cultural programmes and, in some cases, savings collection and revolving loan programmes are in operation through the CBOs. Some CBOs work with full devotion but discontinued after one or two years though they are formed with commitment.

Union Network of Change Makers has been formed at Ward level. Main objective of this network is to develop leadership at Ward level; a leader will be appeared at Ward level who will lead the Ward Committee and thus, a helpful institution will grow at Ward level.
