Md. Nashir Uddin Faruq is a seasoned development professional with over 25 years of experience in programme management, organizational development, capacity building, and humanitarian response. He currently serves as the Deputy Chief Executive of Shushilan, where he provides strategic leadership in programme development, institutional strengthening, partnership management, and resource mobilization. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with leading national and international organizations, including UNICEF, Save the Children, WaterAid, LGED, and IRC, delivering technical support in programme development, organizational capacity assessment, training, monitoring and evaluation, and community development. Mr. Faruq has extensive expertise in designing and facilitating training programmes, developing institutional systems, and leading multi-sectoral development initiatives. He holds an M.Phil. in Sociology, is pursuing an M.Sc. in Food and Nutrition Science, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health (UK).

A renowned development professional and organizational leader with a master’s degree and over 35 years of experience across national and international development organizations. As Adviser – Organizational Development at Shushilan, he provides strategic and technical leadership in organizational transformation, institutional strengthening, governance, policy development, program quality, leadership and sustainability. His expertise encompasses development and humanitarian programming, disaster and refugee response, health and nutrition, education, livelihoods, partnerships, advocacy, research and evaluation. He has worked extensively with government, donors, UN and international agencies, NGOs, and local institutions to advance organizational excellence, collaboration and sustainable impact.

An accomplished development and humanitarian professional with more than 35 years of experience in the NGO sector, specializing in human rights, humanitarian response, research, governance, refugee management, migration, climate resilience, and organizational development. Since 1989, I have led and managed large-scale development and emergency response programmes across Bangladesh, with extensive experience in the southwest coastal region and the Rohingya refugee response in Cox’s Bazar since 2017. He has engaged for the past four years on the Steering Committee of the NGO Platform for the Rohingya Response and as an Advisory Board Member of the UN OCHA Bangladesh Humanitarian Fund Allocation, contributing to localisation, humanitarian financing, and policy advocacy. He holds a Master's degree in Social Science from the University of Dhaka, a Law degree from the National University, and have completed Chartered Accountancy training under ICAB. His professional development includes advanced training from the Asian Institute of Management (Philippines), the Advocacy Institute (USA), Chonnam National University/May18 Foundation (South Korea), and the International Institute of Humanitarian Law (Italy). Abdul Wadud serves as Advisor (Food Security and Livelihood) at Shushilan, a position he has held since January 2013, bringing nearly four decades of expertise in soil science and agricultural research. He holds an M.Sc. in Soil Science from the University of Dhaka (1975) and a B.Sc. in Soil Science, Botany, and Chemistry from National University (1973).His career progressed through the Soil Resources Development Institute (SRDI), including roles as Research Assistant, Scientific Officer, Senior Scientific Officer, and Principal Scientific Officer across multiple divisions—covering soil surveys, land classification, laboratory research, and training of extension workers—before serving as Project Coordinator at Shushilan (2012) prior to his current advisory role. A prolific researcher, he has authored or co-authored eleven semi-detailed and detailed soil survey reports across various districts of Bangladesh, along with a graduate thesis on soil salinity and paddy cultivation. Lutfunnessa Hira serves as Advisor (Gender) at Shushilan, a position she has held since February 2010, bringing over three decades of specialized experience in gender and social development across Bangladesh. She holds an M.A. in Political Science from Dhaka University (1992). Her career includes roles as Gender Specialist at Shushilan (2005–2010), Sociologist with the Social Development Foundation, and Gender Consultant/Specialist on projects funded by DFID, ADB, DANIDA, and the European Union, including work on Bangladesh's coastal and rural infrastructure initiatives and Hunan Province's road development project in China. She also served as National Training Consultant with the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs and as Women Development Specialist under LGED's Tangail Infrastructure Development Project. Her expertise spans gender mainstreaming, training design and delivery, monitoring and evaluation, policy support, and community mobilization. She has conducted and received extensive training on gender, social development, ADR, and women's empowerment, and is a member of the Dhaka University Alumni Association.

He holds over 25 years’ of professional experiences in public health, WASH, research, programme development, grants management, partnerships and quality assurance in emergencies and development scenario. He is a PhD scholar with Master’s degrees in Public Health and Business Studies with advanced trainings in epidemiology, public health in complex emergencies and programmatic aspects. In International Organization for Migration (IOM) Nepal and Bangladesh, he has led public health and WASH initiatives in refugee and humanitarian settings for over 13 years. Having started with extensive first-hand experiences in data collection and researches across Nepal and Bangladesh, he rigorously cross-checks filed evidences, technical proposals, budgets, organizational requirements, sector/cluster strategies and international standards to assure quality, accountability and cost-effectiveness, his approach is strongly evidence-driven and field-oriented. Mostafa Aktheruzzaman is a senior development professional with more than 30 years of experience in program management, governance, human rights, community development, and institutional capacity building. He currently serves as Director at Shushilan, providing leadership in project implementation, supervision, monitoring, proposal development, budgeting, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement. Over his career, he has held senior roles including Assistant Director, Team Leader, Coordinator, Project Coordinator, and Project Manager across governance, human rights, social justice, microfinance, fisheries, and local government initiatives. Mr. Satchidananda Biswas Satu is a seasoned development professional with more than two decades of experience in Bangladesh’s development and humanitarian sector. He joined Shushilan in 2002 and has since played a strategic role in advancing programmes for climate resilience, disaster risk reduction, humanitarian response, livelihoods, environmental sustainability, and inclusive community development. As Director (Programme) and Head of the RRHR Unit, he provides strategic and technical leadership in climate change adaptation, anticipatory humanitarian action, inclusive DRR, food security & sustainable livelihoods, WASH, market systems and value-chain development, fisheries and aquaculture, on-farm research, gender equality, and community empowerment. Ruhul Amin Mollah is a finance and management professional with over 22 years of experience in financial management, accounting, internal audit, project finance, and organizational leadership. He currently serves as Deputy Director and Head of Finance Cell at Shushilan. Throughout his career, he has supported the financial management and successful implementation of more than 150 development projects across health, nutrition, WASH, food security, governance, gender, livelihoods, agriculture, women’s empowerment, disaster risk reduction, and community development. Sherina Akther is a development professional with over three decades of experience in Bangladesh’s development sector. Currently serving as Deputy Director and Head of Gender Cell Shushilan, she leads and supports diverse donor-funded programmes with organizations different donors UN, Int. NGO & Govt. Shahina Pervin is a development professional with nearly 19 years of experience in program management, organizational development, monitoring, evaluation and learning, Human Resource Management and community-focused development initiatives. Abdul Alim is a development professional with over 30 years of extensive field experience in WASH, community mobilization, humanitarian response, and development projects in Bangladesh, including Rohingya refugee camps and host communities.
