Staff Review Meeting of SBC Project Held in Bhola

The 11th Bi-monthly Staff Review Meeting of the Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) Programme for Promoting Maternal, Children and Adolescent Well-being-Bhola was held on 8 September 2025 at Hotel Grand Holidays, Bhola. A total of 43 participants including Community Mobilizers, Project Officers, and 3 senior officials from UNICEF Barisal Field Office attended. The UNICEF delegation was led by Mr. Anowar Hossain, Chief Field Officer (CFO).

The event began with the National Anthem and Shushilan’s theme song, followed by an opening speech from Mr. A.M. Wahiduzzaman, Project Coordinator. Field staff from seven upazilas presented project progress, achievements, and challenges of the 10th tranche.

Key technical sessions enriched the day’s discussions. Dr. Md Ahsan, UNICEF Consultant, conducted an orientation on TCV vaccination covering registration, monitoring, and data tracking. Md. Sajib Rahman, Training & Monitoring Officer, facilitated a session on community engagement, supported by Mr. Sanjit Kumar Das, SBC Officer, UNICEF. Mr. Moslehouddin Ahmed, Finance & Admin Officer, presented on financial management, reporting a tranche burn rate of 99.29%.

Participants shared reflections, noting the value of recognition, new learning, and practical guidance. Mr. Suman Kumar Sarkar (Community Mobilizer, Tazumuddin) described the day as “a festival-like experience,” while Ms. Yasmin Jahan (Project Officer, Borhanuddin) highlighted the usefulness of the community engagement session.

In his remarks, Mr. Anowar Hossain, CFO, praised the dedication of Shushilan and emphasized that “what matters most is how many children are benefitted through your work. I Appreciate the good deeds and hard dedication of our Shushilan Team ”

The meeting concluded with closing notes from Mr. A.M. Wahiduzzaman and Mr. Md. Sajib Rahman, reaffirming management’s commitment to support field staff and sustain project momentum.
